People's life has been passing without paying any attention to their lives. Some makes a kind of friendship with their life, or let's say their age.
Have anyone defined the word "Age"?!!.
If your answer is 'Yes', You have to share with us what you have figured out.
If you said 'No', so you are a human being wishing getting old and regretting that you was counting days and years to be cross your childhood's stage...
Perhaps, this definition differs from place to another. It might differ from time to time, from old to youth, and even from gender to gender.
We are in Egypt, so let's focus more on our case and let others' case later in order not to get more complexes...
Egypt ,as any other country, embraces children, teenagers, adults, old, men, women, Muslims, Copts, foreigners.
1- Age for babies:
The first three or four years in the man's life is most important years in his/her life because milk they get from their mothers plays a key role in nourishing or not nourishing their minds. Fathers' behaviour also has great influences on the child's future behaviour. In Egypt, once the children is able to open his mouth to utter any word or any letter, fathers (maybe mothers also) teach him how he can curse and insult others......Fathers become very happy when their little child is capable of say offensive words to others, even to their mothers or them. So far I could not find any explanation behind this habit of Egyptians, or even of the Arabs.
To be continued.............
Hi
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on the inauguration of your blog! The start is strong and amazing. But allow me to differ with you in the last part you've mentioned about a parent's- especially a father's- joy about teaching his child insulting as the first experience of the child to use words and language. I don't think this is a rule. Maybe it is the exception but not the rule. I know sometimes fathers get some silly ideas during raising their children but not all fathers and it is not a matter strictly familiar in Egypt or the Arab World alone.
Do you know that cursing or swearing is something most Latin Americans like to teach their children and they feel it is a sign of their masculine behavior?
Now, to answer the first part of your post, I am someone who is very understanding when it comes to aging. I am not shy to mention my age, unlike most women who conceal their age once they celebrated their 25th birthday!! I feel no matter how old I get, I still have lots of experiences to learn and it's not a problem for me to learn as long as I live.
Go on, please, never stop writing. Your ideas are great and I like to have more discussions with you:))

I'm so happy you read it and like...cauz you are one of teh persons who pushes me forwards for better tomorrow....
DeleteFor the insulting-rule part, I can agree with you as it might be one case of thousands of cases in our Arab world.
I do enjoy discussions with you as you discuss ideas not like some people who discuss ideas in form of persons.
Ideas are something like principles. To be objective, we should discuss ideas without personalizing them according to our taste and whims. This is how objective mature discussion should take place. Otherwise, discussion turns into a childish row similar to the lame discussions we have seen all over the Facebook and other social network websites during election time.
ReplyDeleteI respect you and your opinions so much and I like mature discussions with you, especially that you like to reach the core of the idea or the problem in your discussions.
I am looking forward to more useful and fruitful discussions with you, dearest:)
